memorable incidents at somaiya

Somaiya classes......oops!..somaiya engineering academy....
since the day our CET got over,people stared councelling me about engineering field
(colleges,companies,subjects,classes....etc)And as a natural tendency..i asked seniors about which are the most difficult
subjects,which classes should i prefer...etc.And 100% people told me that app mech is going to be really tough,u will need to study
hard,right from the first day!And as others,i was also scared of this subject...but the only thing(relief) was the
subject was going to be there in 2nd sem....So obviously 1st sem was going to be
easier(didnt work in my case...thts a different thing!)some people told me to start app mech during vacations only..but obviously i didnt ;)And 2nd sem started.We had already taken admission to Somaiya Engineering Academy..First day.....somaiya sir (uncle...according to sneha)...seemed to be pretty srict..bt used to teach
very well...
And then...days passed....My impression was pretty good..he used to make me stand (for good reason) asked
questions....And i could answer them sometimes....but,the things are never so easy,straight!
One day..he was teaching virtual work method for beams....I and Sneha were sitting together...and we were talking..sir caught us...asked me,"yes,do u have any doubt?"I said,"No,sir.""ok",He said.and as he was about to turn bact towards the board, Sneha said,"sir,we were discussing how the diagram would be!"He turned back to us again in anger...next few lines..his own words..."u were discussing the diagram in air?? how can it be possible??this is all because of JVK and graphics!!!!u do such things..imagining in air.in graphics only..dont imagine...take a pen and a paper and just draw it!!!if i start doing such things,will u ppl understand a single word??(now pointing towards me)..tell me..is
teaching that easy??u come here...stand at my place..and try to teach..lets c how many ppl
understand a word!!!"
aur ye silsila chalta hi raha...i was so scared that i didnt go 4 the class 4 two weeks atleast!
when i went to class after a long break...whatever he was teaching,was going tangentially..then i asked madhura,who was sitting wid me.."what is law of string?" She was explaining me...sir caught me again (wat a luck!) bt this time,he shouted at madhura.."it is good that u r explaining her..bt u shouldnt in the class!let me do my job sincerely! these ppl (I!) dont want to attend the lectures,they just want to take part in gathering.....regatta,right?these ppl are not supposed to be here....tell them to join film industry...they need these ppl..go there and entertain others..."

again one week bunk!

then he only asked madhura about me...next day i attended the class...i dont know what he might have thought..coz he never
shouted at me after tht!!!and on the last day....after the class was over..he called me...and said..."when is your exam??...i know u will be getting good marks...u are scholar...u missed so
many lectures these days! why did u bunk the class?take down all the notes,ok?i know u will do that..u r very intelligent....bt u shouldnt have bunked the class.."that day i felt like..this is what i wanted...if u didnt have shouted at me...i couldnt
have bunked a single lecture!!!"

New Friends(?)..Deplomites

Deplomites are the people who get admission directly to 2nd yr
engineering.Since the last sem, we were told that we will get
new friends in next sem,the deplomites..and we were really very curious abt all this.We had lots of questions in mind abt "wat roll nos will they
get?"," how the practical batches will be reshuffed,each of 15
or of 18 or of 20?" "will they talk to us?"and guys had all different doubts in their mind "let's hope the
girls are good looking ;)"And finally they came...now they are with us...just in our
class...and ..what a coincidence....everyone's uncle is a
collector!!!And as they were the only new ppl in our class..and we didnt
know anything about them (as if i knew my entire class in
FY!),we decided to take their intros..(just intros!).I was supposed (forced!) to handle girls intro part.Chinmay was the one who forced me to...bcoz i was the don
(thanks to balani!) of the class!(Actually the fact is ..chinmay himself failed to get the
intro...the x deplomite said "maze kaka collector ahet!")And one day (after around one week!and only bcoz the ppl had
already given their intros during psycho lecture!)....we
suceeded to make them stand (at their own place!)..and tell abt
themselves.But these people really dont understand what is the the benifit
of getting admission in COEP....They still attend all the
lectures...raise thier hands and answer the questions (which
most of us have never heard about!)And one day,they crossed all the thresholds of sincerity...On the day of admissions...while our admission process was
going on...these people attended maths lecture! (Seems our CR
is of no use!) Its time now! We should now think abt this matter !Its time to
make them aware of class-rules....lets hope deplomites do not spoil rest 3 years of enjoyment!

An Essay...cant spell it ;)

amhi friens zalo te 11th madhe. amhi Apte madhe ekatra hoto...ani aata koni chidwayla naslyane amhi bindhast bolaycho....but he is a nice person to speak with..extremely intelligent..shalet astana saglya scholarship milawlya..ekahi sodli nahi....10th madhe merit madhe 7th ala...congratz ok...mala athwat nahi mi tula mhanle ahe ki nahi...u know...aapan teva bolat navto.
the most special thing about this guy is that he is an mazing actor...i used to love his performances...worth remembering were warhad nighalay london la,meeting
and also the one he played in apte gathering..a role of a school master.that was as usual amazing...

Ok.....he is my Yahoo friend u can say...we hardly used to talk in schooldays! And now he is a good friend of mine..we chat almost everyday!(relax!i wont tell her.........!)...he is a sweet guy and most enthusiastic about the reunion!(u know why.....!)

well.....PF was the most exciting thing i ever did in my entire life..
PF stands for Punt Formation...
This is an event in COEP's annual gathering....precisely Regatta
In this we enlighted our boats(Punts) with nawar and made different shapes in water....there were 16 punts in all.....
all boardered with nawars of alternate yellow and red/green bulbs..

there were more than 90 people frm FY and 10 PFO's......
40 days of practice.....most memorable days of my life......
it was more fun when actally we started making nawar....
khup khelloo...remix banawle.....PJ group form kela..khup jast maja keli..
i still remember the songs
sataryacha mhatara,sushila,mumbai hun aali mala tar......etc
also remixes of reshmacha reghanni(lavni)..,Dus bahane kar ke...,

To say more about my academic life,initially i was in Abhinav Vidyalay marathi medium school.Then in Jog Highschool.
In 11th and 12th ,i was in Apte,and finally in COEP.
